Leadership Development
The Leadership Challenge
No single group of employees has greater control over the success of an organization than those in leadership and management positions. It is this group who create the vision for the future, who plan and direct the course of the organization, who control the resources, who manage the performance of employees, who establish the culture of the business, and who are ultimately accountable for the organization’s financial performance.
When leaders do their jobs well, employees do theirs well too.
High performing leaders should be an organization’s most important asset.
In today's business environment, few leaders and managers have all the skills needed to manage the broad range of situations that face them each day.
Our 3 Flagship Programs
Part 1: Leading with Influence
Part 2: Coaching for Excellence
Part 3: EQUEST: Leading with Emotional Intelligence
Part 1: Leading with Influence
In today’s complex business environment, leaders and managers cannot rely on positional power if they wish to harness the creativity, innovation, and collective brainpower of the organization’s employees. What is needed instead is personal power: the skills and ability to work with others and to influence others - regardless of position.
Today’s leaders and managers need to communicate effectively in all directions and with a multitude of stakeholders. The scope and range of leaders’ and managers’ responsibilities make it necessary to influence downwards, upwards, and sideways – in all directions, with equal effectiveness.
This highly interactive, competency-based workshop is designed for business leaders and managers who are responsible for achieving results with others and through others. While this workshop is geared primarily for people in leadership and management positions, the skills are equally applicable to all employees who need to create cooperative, collaborative and effective working relationships with their stakeholders. These stakeholders could be employees in other divisions, customers, suppliers, business partners, and members within the community. [TOP]
Part 2: Coaching For Excellence
Execution is the discipline of getting things done - with excellence. Extraordinary leaders understand that talking about and promising execution is empty. It is achieved through proven, measurable performance. Execution must rest on quality, action and decisiveness. Seasoned leaders combine the disciplines of understanding how businesses and organizations work with managing time, resources and people. They are driven to produce results and motivated to do what it takes to make a difference. Achieving desired results seems to be a growing problem that is challenging the core of leadership.
Effective leaders get results through others by creating a work environment that brings out the best in people - encouraging them to take risks that will lead to success; helping others to support change and innovation; capitalizing on individual’s personal strengths; encouraging ongoing personal and career growth; developing personal accountability for performance; motivating employees to perform to their highest possible level; and retaining and promoting the best employees for the organization.
This highly interactive, competency-based workshop is designed for business leaders and managers who are responsible for creating a work environment that fosters high commitment and collaboration and energizes and inspires employees to work together effectively to achieve their business, team, and individual goals. Part 3: EQuest: Leading with Emotional Intelligence
Research findings indicate that leaders who demonstrate high levels of Emotional Intelligence, create work environments that are conducive to higher employee satisfaction, employee engagement and customer satisfaction. When you blend IQ and EQ in leadership, you connect the heads and the hearts of your employees, and that connectivity allows the organization to achieve things that other companies cannot achieve. It is that blended use of IQ and EQ that forms the basis of inspirational leadership.
In this workshop, you will learn and apply the four key components of emotional intelligence: self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, and relationship management.
